Faux Capiz Shell Chandelier


Materials:  
1. Scissors
2. Circle punch
3. wax paper
4. An iron, 
5. 2 pieces of parchment paper
6. Basket

      

1. Cut three sheets of wax paper to the same length. 
2. Then sandwich them together and placed them between the 2 sheets of parchment. 

3. Iron until fused. Keep going until you have all of your sheets fused together.



4. Take the fused sheets of wax paper and used the circle punch to make the faux capiz shells.



5. Make rows of “shells” with tops overlappin​g …for this part you will need scissors, thick white thread and a hot glue gun.  You also want to be sure to line them up on some type of guide so that they are straight.




6. Place a small glob of glue on the thread near the top of each circle and pushed it down against the “shell” to attach it.



7. After the glue dries, start at the middle of the basket and would tie and hot glue the “shell” strands. You will need to trim any loose thread ends.

Lamp with Paper Strips

Paper Lamps

DIY: Creative Paper Lamps
Lamp with paper strips: 
Materiales: Rice paper orb, copy paper, glue stick, spray paint (any Color) and scissors. 
1. Spray the bottom edge of each sheet of paper and let them dry. 
2. Once they are dry, stack multiple layers of the papers together and cut them into 2 and 2.5 cm wide strips. Stack the strips according to length, you will have two piles. 
3. Glue the strips individually onto the paper orb keeping some space between each one. Use the longest strips first, starting from the bottom, using your glue stick. Use row after row of strips altenerating between the 2 cm strips and the 2.5 cm strips. Note: Hang the longest strips at the bottom.
